Tasman Bay Christian School is a state-integrated Christian school with a current roll of 76 Years 0-8 students.
We are located in the scenic Tasman region. We are a close school community made up of families who our kaimahi journey with in developing the Christian character of our children. Our collective vision is to cultivate students of integrity who are connected with the life and mission of Jesus.
Due to one of our teachers moving to Rwanda as a missionary, we have a fixed-term position available in our junior team, for two terms. The position will commence in Term 3, on 14 July and finish in Term 4, on 17 December.
We seek a capable classroom teacher with sound pedagogical and curriculum knowledge who will be supportive of, and positive about the strategic goals of the school in the areas of Special Character, Enhancing teacher capabilities in improving literacy and numeracy achievement, Enhancing teacher cultural capabilities, and Maintaining a strong sense of community.
Experience with the Structured Literacy, and Numicon Structured Maths Approaches would be advantageous. Professional Development will be made available if you are unfamiliar with these teaching approaches.
An ability and willingness to support the Special Christian Character of our school is a condition of employment.

Terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Area School Teachers' Collective Agreement – Education in New Zealand (ASTCA).
