ITINERANT MUSIC TEACHERS

An exciting opportunity has opened up for itinerant music teachers to join our growing music programme for 2024. We are looking for teachers across a range of instruments, in particular Violin/Viola, Bass, Cello, Drums, Piano, Brass, Woodwind, Vocals and Guitar. There is also an opportunity to take on the role/s of Jazz Band Director and Chamber Orchestra Director. These positions are fixed term part time for the duration of the 2024 school year with exact hours to be negotiated.

COUNSELLOR
Permanent | Part Time
32 hours per week | 40 weeks per year

Bethlehem College is currently seeking a permanent, part time, individual to join our team as Counsellor.  

The position reports to the Head of Counselling and the successful applicant will be NZAC/ NZACC registered and  qualified counsellor, with experience working with children and youth from ages 5 -18 and their whanau/family; will also be able to work with a range of modalities to support varying needs in our learning community; will build and maintain networks with external agencies, work as a member of a collaborative and established counselling team, work with teachers, groups of students, and work efficiently under pressure.

LEARNING SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR
Permanent | Full Time

Bethlehem College is currently seeking a permanent, full-time, individual to join our team as Learning Support Administrator.  The role is full-time working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 42 weeks per year during term-time. Some flexibility will be necessary to support special events occasionally during evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration of Teacher Aide's timetables, timesheets, leave requests.

  • Administration of the Learning Support Department including managing the Special Assessment Conditions student register.

  • Collaborate with Special Educational Needs Coordinator, students, teachers, parents and other stakeholders.

  • Administration of student exams.

COUNSELLOR (Y1-13)

We are seeking a part-time counsellor who is a qualified, experienced and registered member of either NZAC or NZCCA, to join our experienced Counselling and Pastoral Care team at Middleton Grange School.

The successful applicant:

  • Will be responsible for counseling students from Year 1 through to Year 13.

  • Must have experience in working with Tamariki and Rangatahi as well as families/whanau and preferably with experience working in school settings.

  • Be committed to working collaboratively with the counselling and pastoral teams, staff, whānau, and external partners to provide counselling and wellbeing services within our school community.

  • Understand and value that Middleton Grange School is a Christian State Integrated School. The counsellor will demonstrate a commitment to our school’s Special Character in all aspects of their role.

Hamilton Christian School, a coeducational Y1–13 state-integrated Christian school, has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced counsellor to join their team.  Please note that this role is not a teaching role but rather a support staff member and as such we are not looking for a qualified teacher but rather a qualified counsellor.
