Biblical Literacy

Beginning with 'Learn the Bible in 24 Hours', Koinonia Institute offers tailored courses uniquely designed to lift the Biblical Literacy of teachers in Christian Schools.

The courses are self-paced. The initial course involves 24 sessions: 12 Old Testament and 12 New Testament studies. This involves listening to a DVD/soundtrack, responding to questions, commenting on other students' responses and undertaking a quiz to complete the session. It can be undertaken collaboratively, thereby strengthening connections between teachers in Christian schools. Upon completion, teachers may embark on further courses building toward Koinonia Institute's Teaching Bible diploma.

The cost for the first course of study is $40 per teacher. A new course will start at Easter 2018.

"Involvement in the Koinonia Institute courses has had a major impact on lifting Bible literacy in all our staff. This in turn has had a flow on effect with our students. Our Bible programmes have as a result lifted in their depth and interest with students engaging and responding accordingly. All these results seem to be a direct result of our involvement in these studies.
What I love about these studies is Dr Missler's insistence not to take his word for what he says, but to explore the Scriptures ourselves. This has helped each build a deeper love and understanding for the Word and relieved the concern that we might have to buy into a particular doctrine."
