We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic leader for our Technology Faculty (start date to be negotiated).

Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of 2000 students.  Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tūmanako. 

About the Job 

Working closely with the Technology staff, this permanent full time 3SU role is responsible to:

• Effectively engage with and teach Technology to students in Y10–13 and evaluate the department’s academic process and achievement 

• Continue to develop effective unit/standards which respond effectively and appropriately to all students needs 

• Successfully lead, mentor, and influence team members of the department 

• Promote and support faculty professional development and learning 

• Hold effective faculty meetings 

• Ensure whole school assessment, reporting, and moderation practices are being adhered to 

• Contribute to strategic HOF and Senior School meetings 

About you

The successful candidate will: 

• Possess a high degree of pedagogical knowledge and experience in the Technology curriculum (NCEA Level 2-3) and learning strategies

• Possess strengths in HMT and/or DVC

• Have a proven ability to relate well and be culturally responsive to a diverse range of staff and students

• Be innovative and digitally proficient 

• Be motivated, organised, and student-centred 

• Be capable of developing sustainable systems of departmental evaluation and improvement 

• Be resilient and exhibiting a very positive, and professional attitude 

• Champion the language, vision, and values of KingsWay School
