Executive Principal

We are seeking a new principal to start in 2027 to lead KingsWay School.

KingsWay[C1]  is more than a school, it is a supportive Christian community, founded out of the prayer and faithfulness of local believers. KingsWay has grown into a thriving, multi-campus Christian community committed to delivering excellence in education, leadership and character, missions, sports and more.

As a State-Integrated Christian Area School[C2]  in Red Beach, New Zealand, it is a wonderful environment to live, work and learn in. With a Special Character deeply rooted in Christian faith, the school has grown to roll of 2,100 from Year [C3] 1 through to Year 13.

KingsWay’s mission is to be a Christian community of learning that nurtures young people towards their full potential as servant leaders in the kingdom of God and this will resonate deeply with you.

We are looking for an experienced educator and servant leader with a deep faith and the conviction and calling to continue to grow KingsWay’s strong academic record and endeavours.

You will be, called to Christian education, aligned with our values and Statement of Faith, passionate about bringing the best out in our young people and have a track record of excellence. You will be a faithful leader who is both respected and highly regarded by colleagues, students and parents.

You will show demonstrated excellence in student well-being and can continue a strong track record in this area. We also welcome knowledge and understanding of Te Ao Māori, aligned with a strong faith.

Secondary School Classroom Teacher

We are looking for

- An experienced educator who consistently demonstrates their Christian character in how they interact with students, colleagues, and the wider community. 

- Confident and competent in reading, speaking and writing in English. 

- Proven skills and experience with pastoral care and classroom management working with teenagers. 

- A candidate that can clearly demonstrate their knowledge, skills and experience with planning, teaching, and assessment. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching English, and / or Social Studies from the New Zealand Curriculum. 

- A professional who can take initiative in various contexts. 

- Open to learning new curriculum, pedagogy and school-wide systems. 

- Co-curricular commitment: Applicants must be prepared to contribute to school co-curricular life.

Art Teacher (Secondary)

This is an opportunity for a teacher of art in Years 7-13 to join our growing secondary school.  Alongside a predominant teaching load in art, there is the opportunity to teach an additional subject.  This position would suit a beginning teacher.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Director of Extra-Curricular Arts starting in Term 4 2026 or by negotiation. 

The Director of Extra-Curricular Arts is a permanent full-time teaching position responsible for leading and growing a vibrant extra-curricular arts programme that inspires student participation, creativity, and excellence, grounded in the school’s Christian special character. Working across both campuses with Year 1-13 students, the role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, including overseeing major events, developing partnerships, and contributing to teaching within the arts while modelling and supporting the values of the school. 

The role sits within the school's Senior Leadership Team and carries 3 units. The teaching allocation is 0.3 FTE within the arts with the remaining 0.7 FTE dedicated to the Director of Extra-Curricular Arts responsibilities.
