SPECIALIST TEACHER - 2024 (Middle Years Students) 0.2 FTE

We are a high achieving, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of 1700 students.  Our mission: “To be a Christian community of learning that nurtures young people towards their full potential as servant leaders in the Kingdom of God.”  Located in Red Beach on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast, our staff are supportive and collaborative.

We are looking for a specialist teacher to collaborate with the class teachers, teacher aides, and SENCO to adapt the class environment, learning programmes, and access to materials for our students with complex learning and behavioural needs. Your willingness to think creatively and be responsive to the identified student needs will enhance our Learning Support Team

The successful applicant will:

• Be a nurturing and passionate educator able to embrace the Middle School Philosophy and committed to helping neurodiverse students realise their potential

• Be a fully registered teacher

• Have strengths in NZ curriculum knowledge

• Enjoy effectively partnering with parents and working collaboratively with student support teams

• Have a desire to grow their professional capacity

A condition of employment is to uphold and support our Special Christian Character that permeates all aspects of the programme and also to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school. 

This is a fixed term position for Terms 1-4, 2024, dependent upon the continued enrolment of our ORS funded students.
