We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Head of Learning (year level to be determined) on our Junior Campus starting 28 January 2025.

Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of 1823 students.  Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tūmanako. 

 The role of the HOLA is:

• Pedagogical and teacher practice oversight (assessment, planning, student data, etc.)

• Ensure ongoing collaboration across teams  

• Pastoral care for staff and students in team, incl. L2 discipline 

• Grow leadership capability within the team 

• Embed the KingsWay Collaboration Framework 

• Create an environment where student and staff strengths can flourish 

• Champion the language, vision and values of KingsWay School

The successful applicant will:

• Be a nurturing and passionate educator 

• Have strengths in NZ curriculum knowledge

• Enjoy working collaboratively

• Have a desire to grow their professional capacity

• Enjoy partnering with parents

• Experience in teaching years 4-6 is an advantage

An important condition of employment is to uphold and support our Special Christian Character, including how this translates to supporting and growing our students’ faith.  You will enjoy contributing and promoting a biblically informed, Christ-centred worldview through your teaching and will protect and enhance our Christian character. You will also possess a willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the school to uphold the Special Character.
