COUNSELLOR
Permanent | Part Time
32 hours per week | 40 weeks per year
Bethlehem College is currently seeking a permanent, part time, individual to join our team as Counsellor.
The position reports to the Head of Counselling and the successful applicant will be NZAC/ NZACC registered and qualified counsellor, with experience working with children and youth from ages 5 -18 and their whanau/family; will also be able to work with a range of modalities to support varying needs in our learning community; will build and maintain networks with external agencies, work as a member of a collaborative and established counselling team, work with teachers, groups of students, and work efficiently under pressure.
The successful applicant will have:
Demonstrated understanding and alignment with the Christian values and ethos of the school and willingness to fully commitment to the Vision and Mission of Bethlehem College.
Commitment to a life sustained by a vital Christian faith, permeated with Christian virtues.
Current membership with NZCCA and NZAC and commitment to the NZAC Code of Ethics or equivalent professional association
A collaborative and inclusive approach to working with colleagues, students, parents, and external partners.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
Starting salary will be dependent upon candidate’s qualification and experience.
