ITEC 19 (Christian Education National)

ITEC 19 | Reimagining Practice | 15-17 July 2019 | Adelaide, Australia

A Christian Education National (CEN) conference

CEN's International Transforming Education Conferences ask questions about the transformation of educational practice in Christian schools and other places of learning. They also seek to ask questions of Christian education's effectiveness in transforming the heart, mind and life of every student. ITEC 19 is no different. It seeks to ask "How can we use our God-given creativity and imagination to consider better practice in the classrooms, playgrounds, staff rooms, and board rooms of Christian learning places?"

Oct 2018 Whakawhitu Korero (Laidlaw College)

Whakawhitu Korero: Conversations between theology and social vocation |1-2 October | Laidlaw College's Henderson campus

A Laidlaw College conference.

The incarnation suggests that God in Christ is committed to human flourishing. This compels us also to be devoted to the wellbeing of people.

Laidlaw College is proud to announce this two-day conference, with keynote speakers Professor Mark Brett (Whitley College, Melbourne) and Dr Siautu Alefaio (Massey University, Aotearoa - New Zealand).

Here at Laidlaw College we believe that a strong theological vision sustains the exercise of social vocation (including fields such as social work, counselling, teaching and nursing) and in turn is enhanced by the concerns of social vocation. The purpose of this symposium is to create a conversation between these two realms of thought and practice, the better to appreciate how they might shape and inform each other.
